'Unlocking Potential'

Bumble Bees

In the Bumblebees room we play and have fun while we learn. We explore indoors and outdoors where we have chance to learn and practice new skills. While your child is with us they will enjoy lots of play experiences including sand, water, playdough, messy play, baking and role play.

We love spending time in our garden playing on our climbing frames and in our big sand and water trays. We play outside whatever the weather, there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

We encourage children to join in with short, fun and interactive carpet times, where we practise our counting and listening. We love to dance and sing and hope that everyone leaves with a big smile on their face.

Our work this half term: Summer Term

This half term it has been lovely to get to know our new starters in Bumblebees, they have all settled in really well. We have enjoyed learning all about numbers and shapes. The children have created pictures and models using 2D shapes and have enjoyed playing shape games. We will finish the half term learning about different types of transport

Autumn 2

Last half term we looked at the story of the 'Gingerbread Man', here are some photos of the activities we enjoyed.
This half term we will begin by looking at Winter. We will explore ice and help the animals too escape. We will paint wintery pictures and taste some delicious hot chocolate.
Next we will be reading 'Goldilocks and the three bears' we will use a story map and puppets to retell the story and make our own bear masks. We are having a Teddy bears picnic to celebrate the end of the topic.
Bumblebees will finish the half term learning about shapes and numbers. We will practice counting and recognising numbers and build lots of models using different shapes.
