Bumble Bees
In the Bumblebees room we play and have fun while we learn. We explore indoors and outdoors where we have chance to learn and practice new skills. While your child is with us they will enjoy lots of play experiences including sand, water, playdough, messy play, baking and role play.
We love spending time in our garden playing on our climbing frames and in our big sand and water trays. We play outside whatever the weather, there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
We encourage children to join in with short, fun and interactive carpet times, where we practise our counting and listening. We love to dance and sing and hope that everyone leaves with a big smile on their face.
Our work this half term:
This half term we have been reading the story 'We're going on a bear hunt'. We explored each part of the story in a sensory way, walking through 'swishy swashy' grass, splashing in ice and water, squelching in mud, stumbling in the forest and braving the swirling snowstorm. We made binoculars to help us find the bear. The children learned to retell the story using a story map.
