Year 2 Visits and Experiences

Hesketh Farm Park

In the summer term year 2 also visit the amazing Hesketh Farm Park. We spend the day exploring the farm, feeding the animals and finish with a tractor ride across the muddy fields!

Filey

In year 2 to start our topic on the seaside we set off early in the minibuses for a day trip to Filey, a seaside town on the East Coast of England.  We explore the coastline looking for the differences between the city and coast. Even though it is a busy trip, we still manage to find the time for a paddle in the sea and no seaside visit would be complete without an ice-cream! 

Thackray Medical Museum:

Year 2 learn all about Florence Nightingale in their history topic. This is brought to life when we meet her at Thackray Medical Museum.
