Autumn 1 - Learning Highlights
This half term we are going to be learning and retelling a story called ‘Little Charlie’.
The children have already worked really hard to learn the actions for our story map.
In maths, we are exploring place value to 10. The children will learn some new vocabulary such as more than, less than and equal to.
In science we will be learning all about our bodies and the 5 different senses.
We will be finding out about the United Kingdom in geography and the different countries that make up the United Kingdom.
The children will receive a new phonics book to read at home every Friday. Please read with your child 3 times through the week and record this in their reading record books.
All phonics books should be returned to school every Friday so we can swap them.
Well done for such a fantastic start to Year 1! We can’t wait for the year ahead.
