Extra Curricular Clubs

Check out our fantastic range of after-school clubs on offer this term! There is something for everyone, from sport and performance to crafts and reading. Clubs are charged at ยฃ5 per half term, paid for either in cash, or through parent pay.

If you would like your child to take part, please sign up using the QR code provided, or found outside each classroom.                   

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend signing up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

 

 

Autumn 2

Here is a preview of the clubs available during Autumn 2 and what children can expect to enjoy.


๐ŸŽถ Christmas Choir

Where: 3F
Who for: Years 3โ€“6
Led by: Miss Fulton
Day: Wednesday

Christmas Choir is a fun and festive sing-along where children learn and practise classic Christmas songs. The club builds confidence, teamwork and performance skills, and culminates in a special performance at the care home next door, spreading Christmas cheer within our community.


๐ŸŽญ Drama Club

Where: KS2 Hall
Who for: Years 2โ€“6
Led by: A visiting drama specialist from Leeds Heritage
Day: Thursday

This expertly led drama club gives children the opportunity to explore acting, movement and storytelling. Pupils will build confidence, develop communication skills and work creatively with others through engaging drama activities and performance-based games.

Who for: Years 1โ€“2
Led by: Miss Pyrah
Day: Monday

At Christmas Crafts, children enjoy getting creative with festive art activities. They will make decorations, cards and seasonal crafts while developing fine motor skills and using their imagination in a fun, relaxed environment.


๐Ÿ“š Library and Book Club

Where: KS1
Who for: Years 1โ€“6
Led by: Miss Hesson
Day: Wednesday

Children taking part in Library and Book Club help to organise and sort the library, explore different authors and share their favourite books. They also write book reviews and even interview teachers about their favourite stories, encouraging a love of reading and discussion.

Led by: Miss Johnstone
Day: Wednesday

Cheerleading is a high-energy club where children learn routines, chants and simple lifts in a safe and supportive environment. The club promotes teamwork, coordination, confidence and fitness while having lots of fun.

Led by: Miss Hick
Day: Thursday

KS2 Christmas Crafts allows pupils to explore more detailed and creative festive projects. Children will design and make decorations and gifts while developing creativity, patience and practical crafting skills.

Where: 2P Classroom
Who for: Years 2โ€“6
Led by: Miss Pitchforth
Day: Thursday

TT Rockstars is a fun and competitive maths club where children practise their times tables through games, challenges and battles. Pupils can race against each other โ€“ and even against the teacher โ€“ to build speed, accuracy and confidence in multiplication.

Day: Monday

Athletics Club gives pupils the chance to practise a range of athletic skills such as running, jumping and throwing. Children improve fitness, technique and teamwork while preparing for sporting challenges and competitions.

Day: Monday

Dance and Fitness Club is a lively session where children dance along to their favourite songs while keeping active with friends. The club helps improve coordination, stamina and confidence, all while having lots of fun and staying healthy.

Spring 1

Come and join this expertly led drama club where children explore acting, movement and storytelling. Through drama games, role play and short performances, pupils will build confidence, creativity and communication skills while working collaboratively in a fun and supportive environment.

Sewing Club is a calm and creative space where children learn basic sewing techniques and create their own projects. Pupils develop fine motor skills, patience and creativity while taking pride in making something they can keep and share.

           


๐ŸคŸ BSL Sign Language Club

Where: Reception Classrooms
Who for: Years 4โ€“5
Led by: Mrs Ratour
Day: Thursday

Learn a new and valuable skill by joining our BSL Sign Language Club. Children will discover how to communicate using British Sign Language, learning signs, phrases and finger spelling while gaining a greater understanding of inclusive communication.

 

 


๐Ÿ’ป Coding Club

Where: Reception Classrooms
Who for: Years 3โ€“5
Led by: Miss Gains
Day: Thursday

Coding Club introduces children to the exciting world of computer programming. Using our new Chromebooks, pupils will learn about different coding functions, problem-solving and logical thinking, as well as creating their own simple games in a fun and engaging way.

Day: Wednesday

Singing Club is a joyful opportunity for children to sing their favourite songs with friends. Pupils will develop vocal confidence, rhythm and teamwork while enjoying a wide range of music in a relaxed and positive atmosphere.


๐Ÿ Dodgeball Club

Where: KS2 Hall
Who for: Years 3โ€“6
Led by: Mr Dring
Day: Thursday

Dodgeball Club is fast-paced, energetic and lots of fun. Children will learn game rules, teamwork and throwing and dodging skills while taking part in friendly matches that promote fitness, confidence and fair play.
