Tuesday 21st April-History lesson

Click on the links below for today's lesson.

Years 1 and 2-How can I be a historian?

This is a great one for parents to get involved with-find an old object, such as a toy or a photograph and help your child to make a list of questions about them, such as "How old is it?" or "Who did it belong to?". After you've made your list of questions, ask your child to interview you to find out the answers.

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6-Who were the Ancient Egyptians?

Everyone learns about Ancient Egypt in Year 3 so this is a good chance to recap your knowledge then have a go at thinking about which treasures and secrets you would put in a  tomb, as well as having a go at the quiz.

You will need to log in to play this game.

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

After watching these videos, click on the link below to download a map of the local area around school. See if you can find school and other landmarks (PW stands for Place of Worship and PO stand for Post Office). If you live near school, can you trace your journey from home to school.

Thursday 23rd April-Art lesson

Today's art lesson is a very special one-you have been set a 2Do on Purple Mash to design a 100th birthday card for Captain Tom, who has raised over £27 million for the NHS. We will make a display board out of all the cards and share on social media and the website. Please use first names only-the task will be left on Purple Mash until Tuesday so you can work on it over the next few days. There are some photos of Captain Tom to use in the Clip Art part. You may want to complete this as a family-we look forward to seeing your cards.

Friday 24th April-Spanish lesson

Today's lesson is "Counting" in Spanish. Years 1 and 2 do not have Spanish lessons but this would be a good introduction and the opportunity to learn something new, especially the children in Year 2 who will be starting their lessons when they move into Year 3.
